Chapter 1

  • Greenest was founded by a halfling woman named Dharva, who dreamed of being bandit queen of the Greenfields.
  • The Cult of the Dragon is gathering treasure to amass a hoard for the return of Tiamat, Queen of Dragons.
  • The Cult has kobolds, cultists of various ranks, drakes and possibly other beasts ,and mercenaries at their disposal.
  • They headed south from Greenest and their attack.
  • Attacks by the Cult and their dragon allies are happening all over the Sword Coast; from Greenest all the way to Icewind Dale.
  • Citizens are still missing after the attack, including the priest of the Temple to Chauntea.
  • A monk from Berdusk was investigating dragon lore and the Cult of the Dragon.
  • This monk, Leosin Erlanthar, was attempting to infiltrate the Cult but went missing.
  • The Cult was led by a human woman, clad in elaborate purple robes (was seen by the adventurers from atop the keep).
  • A “dragon-man” with blue scales was also seen with the cult during the attack.
  • Many of the raiders in the attack were mercenaries or new cult initiates.
  • Some of the kobolds have wings, and they utilize drakes and other large reptiles.
  • A temple or shrine to Tyr was being harassed in Greenest and the Order of the Gauntlet was contacted. No artifacts or adornments to Tyr were seen in the Temple the adventurer’s were in.
  • The ranger Bob has had apocalyptic dreams of 10 glowing eyes that led him to Greenest.

Chapter 2

  • The cult is camped within a hollow of a large plateau about 9 hours to the south of Greenest.
  • The kobolds do not always get along with the cultists they work with.
  • The camp has a rearguard several hours from the camp in a hollow between some rocky outcroppings.
  • The camp has 2 watchtowers, but is disorganized and chaotic.
  • There appears to be no other entrance to the camp other than the opening in the plateau.
  • The first part of the camp houses the kobolds and mercenaries.
  • The upper part of the camp houses the proper cultists, their slaves, the command tent, and an entrance to a large cave.
  • They use captives as slave labor and they are very poorly treated.
  • The cultists were storing their loot in the cave.
  • Langdedrosa Cyanwrath, a half-blue dragon is part of the cult.
  • Rezmir , a female half-black dragon is also a member of the cult.
  • Rezmir may be afraid of Leosin for some reason.
  • Frulam Mondath is a Wearer of Purple, a high ranking cultist, and she commands Cyanwrath.
  • Cult hierarchy: Initiate, Dragonclaw/Dragonfang, Wearer of Purple, Wyrmspeaker.
  • Kobolds seem to be harvesting fungus in the cave.
  • Frulan Mondath, Wearer of Purple was seen in the camp.
  • The cult’s philosophy has changed radically and they now want to raise Tiamat from the Nine Hells.
  • Leosin Erlanthar is a member of the Harpers.
  • Leosin Erlanthar will be traveling to Elturel when he recovers.

Chapter 3

  • Leosin Erlanthar asked you to meet him and his Ally in Elturel
  • The Cult of the Dragon has moved on
  • Hunters were hired to bring in game/meat for the cult
  • Many prisoners were slain before the cult left the camp including a cleric whose holy symbol was missing
  • The cult left some members behind to guard the cave
  • The hoard was moved with the cult when it left.
  • Kobolds were harvesting mushrooms for food and defense
  • Kobolds like making traps
  • Troglodytes were living deeper in the cracks in the cave
  • The kobolds were training different types of drakes in the cave
  • There was a shrine to dragons in the cavern
  • Carvings in the shrine depicted a 5 headed dragon rising from a volcano
  • The cult has crazed dragon-worshiping bersekers among its members
  • The half-dragon Langdedrosa Cyanwrath was slain
  • Wearer of Purple Frulam Mondath was slain
  • Frulam Mondath was a dragon-poet
  • Three black dragon eggs were being raised in the cave and were destroyed
  • A Roper was living in the cave and was being fed by the kobolds
  • The hoard is being transported to someplace called Naerytar
  • Wyrmspeaker Rezmir fears Leosin Erlanthar’s escape has compromised their plans
  • The hoard is being split up among various caravans and heading to Baldur’s Gate
  • Once arriving in Baldur’s Gate they will prepare for another journey north
  • Aravax Foxtraveler is a cult contact in the city of Baldur’s Gate
  • A man named Curwen is aiding the cult and putting Rezmir in contact with a noble in Baldur’s Gate

Chapter 4

  • Former mercenaries, called the Northern Blue Boars, employed by the Cult have taken up work as bandits
  • Elturel is protected by a light that wards the city from undead
  • Elturel is rules by the High Overseer of Torm
  • Elturel celebrates an annual Festival of Light
  • A blue spotted pig caused a stir among local farmers
  • Ontharr Frume , Paladin of Torm, is a boisterous and jovial man
  • Ontharr Frume represents the Order of the Gauntlet
  • The Harpers, The Order of the Gauntlet ,and the Emerald Enclave are working together to unravel the Cult of the dragon’s plans
  • Varis’s Uncle Terrin, represents the Emerald Enclave
  • The Cult is amassing treasure and shipping it north through Baldur’s Gate
  • Ogres are devising clever plans to ambush people of the Chionthar River
  • A friend of Ontharr, Ackyn Selebon, is a merchant in Baldur’s Gate
  • Baldur’s Gate is still politically in flux after a recent assassination
  • The Flaming Fist mercenary company works as peace-keepers in Baldur’s Gate
  • The Cult of Bhaal assassinated a member of the governing body of Baldur’s Gate
  • Foxtraveler Outfitters is aiding the Cult in Baldur’s Gate

  • The Guild is led by Rilsa Rael, a woman who wants to bring down Felldane Manor
  • Naerytar was a wizard generations ago requisitioning building supplies
  • The Academy of Stargazers, an astrology guild was associated with Naerytar
  • The Farseer of Illusk is an object created by the Academy of Stargazers
  • Omduil Manor is a haven for Harper agents
  • Old Master Omduil collects information but is too old to work in the field anymore
  • Felldane Manor was aiding Rezmir and the Cult
  • Villion Felldane was a powerful wizard and Cultist of Bhaal
  • Felldane had a scrying pool of blood and a temple to Bhaal beneath his manor
  • A ceremonial blade was taken from the temple by Theren
  • A giant psychic whale was working with Curwen and said he fled into the Plane of Fire

Chapters 4-5

  • The Cult transported their hoard north to Waterdeep, hidden among a merchant caravan
  • A Golden Stag told the party “Follow the river of gold until you reach the castle in the sky…”
  • The Cult took on a Red Wizard of Thay, named Azbara, in the city of Daggerford
  • An aging paladin named Sir Isteval, helped Daggerford thwart a Red Wizard plot not long ago
  • Jamna Gleamsilver, a gnomish woman, joined the caravan on a mission to watch the Cult for the Zentarim
  • The Cult arrived in Waterdeep and prepared to leave once again, hiding among a road construction crew
  • Waterdeep is governed by a council of Masked Lords and one Open Lord of Waterdeep.
  • The Open Lord of Waterdeep is Dagult Neverember, who is also the Lord Protector of Neverwinter
  • Lord Neverember splits his time between the two cities and works to rebuild Neverwinter
  • Lady Learal Silverhand is one of the Masked Lords of Waterdeep
  • Leosin Erlanthar, Onthar Frume, and Learal Silverhand have set up a Council, currently called the Council Quiet
  • The Council Quiet was formed to bring the threat of the Cult of the Dragon to the attention of the rulers of the Sword Coast and make decisions about dealing with them
  • The Council Quiet is currently made up of representatives from the Lord’s Alliance, the Harpers, the Order of the Gauntlet, The Emerald Enclave, and the Heroes of Greenest
  • The Council voted to allow the Black Network, the Zentarim, to join the Council
  • Galvan the Blue and Severin the Red are two of the 5 Wyrmspeakers of the Cult of the Dragon

  • Castle Nearytar is in the Mere of Dead Men north of Waterdeep.
  • The Mere often grows and spreads unnaturally and destroys the road between Waterdeep and Neverwinter
  • The road is currently unusable and is being rebuilt
  • The Mere of Dead Men is ruled over Voraghaumanthar, The Black Death
  • Lizardfolk who live in the swamp revere the Black Death and speak of his amazing speed and power
  • The Carnath Roadhouse was the base of operations for road construction going north
  • The Cult was using the roadhouse to smuggle the treasure hoard into the mere by way of lizardmen
  • The treasure is being taken to Castle Nearytar
  • The Cult is working with the Lizardmen and Bullywugs.
  • The lizard men don’t know why the Black Death listens to the cult and why he is forcing them to serve the “dragon-kneelers”
  • The lizardmen do all the work and are bossed around by the bullywugs that they despise
  • The bullywug shaman killed the lizardfolk’s chieftain
  • There is an elf in charge of the castle
  • Rezmir, the “dragon-lady” is often seen in the castle

  • Pharblex, the Bullywug Shaman dwells in the castle
  • Azbara Jos, a Red Wizard of Thay, was staying in the castle
  • Rezmir had a shrine to Tiamat and her living quarters in the castle
  • The remains of the Academy of Stargazers were found, long dead and risen as specters
  • A dwarf long ago discovered them and left a warning
  • Rezmir mentioned the Red Wizards are helping with “transportation”
  • Azbara Jos was communicating with someone name Rath Modar
  • Rezmir had a note that said “Draezir”, it was not in her handwriting
  • The treasure was being sorted and re-packaged into crates in the Great Hall
  • There is a misty cavern below the castle
